The challenge


Every year The Pendoring Creative Awards celebrates the best in local creativity. We were asked to create the on screen graphics that would represent the different categories. 




The approach


If there’s one thing we’ve learnt, it’s that creativity can’t be capped. That’s why, in celebration of the Pendoring Advertising Awards’ 21st anniversary, we challenged nine of South Africa’s leading artists to create nine unique art pieces with one goal: to give free rein to their imagination.

The approach

Bespoke pieces were created by master sculptors, Anton and Lionel Smit, as well as Jaco van der Merwe (Bittereinder), Capital Craft Beer Academy, Pôkô Productions, Robobeast, imPRESSed Craft Bindery and Letterpress Studio, Streetwires, Hardus Koekemoer and Karen Steenkamp.


These pieces served as the backdrop for Pendoring’s category screens during the 2016 Gala event at Vodacom World, contributing to the overarching theme of creative advertising without boundaries.
